The location of both black boxes of the crashed plane of Indonesia’s Srivijaya Airlines was traced on Saturday. Special teams of the Indonesian Navy have been deployed to evacuate them. However, both black boxes could not be recovered until Sunday night. All 62 passengers were killed in this crash. Debris was found in the sea.

According to the ‘Jakarta Post’, the flight data recorder and voice recorder of the crashed aircraft have been relocated only on Sunday evening. It was launched with the help of a special ship of the Navy. However, it is difficult to remove them, as they are reported close to the sea rocks and their signals are also getting weaker.

Indonesia’s Transport Safety Secretary Sorejanto Tahonto said, “Our Navy team has detected the black box. It is not easy to remove them, but we are confident of success soon. The Indonesian government has also deployed helicopters of the navy in the search operation. The rescue team received just five dead bodies by Sunday. 10 children are also among those who die.

The cause of the crash is not yet known

Srivijaya Air’s flight number was SJ 182. The Boeing 737-500 class plane flew from Jakarta’s Sukarno-Hatta Airport. It lost contact with Air Traffic Control (ATC) just four minutes after takeoff. At that time the aircraft was at an altitude of 10,000 feet.
