In the Siberia region of Russia, mysterious stripes are seen in satellite photos taken from the sky near the Markha River. Scientists of the US space NASA are also surprised to see these stripes. Scientists are unable to understand what is the reason behind these stripes. New photos put on NASA’s Earth Observatory website show a folded ground.
NASA has captured these photos from Landsat 8 on its camera over the years. It is seen in the photo that both deep and light stripes are seen on both sides of the river Markha. This mysterious effect is visible in all four seasons, but in winter it can be seen clearly. Due to snow in winter, these mysterious stripes are completely clear from each other.
This area of Russia remains covered with snow
Scientists are also not convinced about why such mysterious stripes are seen in Siberia. Experts are making a very contradictory interpretation of these stripes of Siberia. In a possible explanation, it is being said that this region of Russia is covered with snow for 90 percent of the year. The land is visible here for some time only. Experts say that this mysterious design has been created when the snow is buried under the snow and sometimes when the ice melts.
On the other hand, such areas in Norway are much smaller than in Siberia. Some other experts say that due to erosion of land in millions of years these stripes are lying. American geologist Thomas Crawford told NASA that these stripes are sedimentary rocks. On the other hand, it is seen from the pictures that these stripes become much larger in winter. NASA scientists believe that these stripes are still a mystery to them.
