Potential Sunday Night Football Week 18 Games

Read Time:3 Minute, 33 Second

With the NFL regular season entering Week 7, there are still a lot of games to be played. However, the NFL schedule during the later part of the regular season is always fluctuating because some teams are not performing to standards. Week 18 is still a ways away, but it is never too early to talk about the potential Sunday night football game for that week.

Last season, it turned out to be the Los Angeles Chargers and the Las Vegas Raiders for the AFC Wild Card, and it was an overtime thriller with Las Vegas coming out on top. London NFL games 2022 have already happened, and we are looking at the future. What are some of the potential match-ups for Sunday night football in Week 18?

Tampa Bay Buccaneers vs. Atlanta Falcons

Both of these football teams are currently 3-3 and are tied for the NFC South lead. Tampa Bay has been underachieving, and Atlanta has been overachieving. There will most likely be only one team in the NFC South that makes it to the postseason. These two teams already met earlier in the season, and Tampa Bay defeated Atlanta 21-15 on some questionable calls.

It wouldn’t be a surprise to see the NFC South Division on the line when these two football teams play each other once again come Week 18. Tom Brady has never lost against the Falcons in his NFL career, and he would get the ratings, but Marcus Mariota has been playing very well this year for Atlanta.

Todd Bowles and Arthur Smith are a very interesting coaching match-up in this one. This would be a closer football game than people would anticipate.

Baltimore Ravens vs. Cincinnati Bengals

Even with Baltimore and Cincinnati both 3-3 to start the season, they are by far the two best teams in the AFC North and could very well meet for the AFC North Division Title in Week 18. The Ravens and the Bengals already played each other on Sunday night football this season back in Week 5, with Baltimore coming out on top against Cincinnati 19-17.

Lamar Jackson and Joe Burrow are two of the better quarterbacks in the entire NFL. What would make this game very interesting is that John Harbaugh and Zac Taylor have not necessarily made the right coaching moves so far this season, and someone would mess up in this football game with a blunder with their potential season on the line.

Baltimore’s playmaker is Rashod Bateman, and Cincinnati’s playmaker is Ja’Marr Chase. This is your typical AFC North rivalry.

New York Jets vs. Miami Dolphins

Who would have thought New York and Miami could potentially play each other with a wild card spot on the line in a potential Week 18 match-up? The Jets are 4-2 to start the season, and the Dolphins are 3-3 to start the season. Zach Wilson is improving for New York, and Tua Tagovailoa has also improved for Miami until he was recently dealing with concussion issues.

There would be a ton of points scored in this football game. The New York Jets won the first match up 40-17 over the Tua Tagovailoa-less Miami Dolphins. It would be much different this time around.

Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle would get the ball more often and put pressure on the Jets’ defense. Garrett Wilson Jr. and Corey Davis could also cause fits for Miami’s defense as well. Robert Saleh and Mike McDaniel are two head coaches who used to be coordinators for the San Francisco 49ers under Kyle Shanahan.

New York Giants vs. Philadelphia Eagles

Both of these football teams are most likely to make the playoffs no matter what in the NFC. The New York Giants are 5-1, and the Philadelphia Eagles are 6-0 to start the 2022 season. They both have favorable schedules for the remainder of the way.

The quarterback match-up between Daniel Jones and Jalen Hurts would be very intriguing to watch. Brian Daboll and Nick Sirianni are the two favorites to potentially win the Coach Of the Year Award this season in the NFL as well. They are the betting favorites to do so.
