Today, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) officials met Emirates Cricket Board (ECB) chief Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak and discussed all issues. All IPL teams have reached the UAE and are following local protocols on coronavirus. There is a buzz that the inaugural match could be between Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings.
According to a report by an English newspaper, the reason behind the delay in the release of the IPL schedule is the rise of COVID-19 cases in Abu Dhabi. In connection with the IPL, the franchisees, live telecast staff officers and IPL operations officers are going through the corona test.
