The Democrat Party candidate from the South Carolina seat of the US Senate, Jami Harrison, has broken all the old records of parliamentary funding. Harrison has succeeded in raising $5.7 million in the final quarter of his campaign against Republican opposition Lindsey Graham.
Harrison’s campaign operators said Sunday that it is the biggest funding of a Senate candidate at any one time of three months so far. Earlier in 2018, Democrat candidate Bato Orourke was able to raise $3.8 million in the final funding period. With the third-quarter funding, Harrison has now raised a total of $8.6 million for the campaign.
Harrison received $5.7 million in donations from 9.94 million donors. They have received an average of 37 dollars for each donation. “This campaign is making history because we are focusing on re-establishing the hopes of South Carolina,” said Harrison’s campaign spokesman Guy King.
