Flipkart seeks interns for 45 days and it will pay around Rs 500 per day.
New Delhi. E-commerce giant Flipkart has announced its paid internship program launchpad for undergraduate students on Saturday to strengthen its supply chain before the festive season and big billion days sale. Under this program, 45 days of paid festive internship will be provided to undergraduate students of small towns.
The company said that the objective of the 45-day internship is to help students in supply chain management acquire important skills and create an ecosystem of trained professionals for the e-commerce industry. Last year, more than 2000 students participated in the internship program.
Flipkart said that it is working closely with educational institutions at 21 locations including Binola (Haryana), Bhiwandi (Maharashtra), Uluberia and Dankuni (West Bengal) and Maloon (Karnataka), Medchal (Telangana), etc., to identify skilled students and to give selected students an opportunity to work in the Full development centers of Kappan.
The senior vice-president of Flipkart, Amitesh Jha, said that during the festive season, his interns will be provided with effective working experience, which will help them create more interest for the supply chain. The students coming for the internship will be trained on various aspects of supply chain management and will be ensured to adhere to stringent measures for their health and safety.
It will adopt measures such as mandatory thermal screening, maintaining physical distance during work, and use of the all-time Arogya Setu app before entering the center. Flipkart said the internship will help students to keep themselves useful in this rapidly changing environment.
