Blast Kills 5 In Karachi’s Two-Storey Building, Second Explosion In 24 hours In Same Area

In Pakistan, 5 people were killed in a bomb blast in Karachi city on Wednesday morning. 20 people are injured. The condition of all is stated to be critical. The incident took place at around 10 am in the Gulshan-e-Iqbal area. According to Dawn News, a building exploded in the area on Tuesday. Then five people were injured. The office of the Edhi Foundation, Pakistan’s largest social organization, is just a few meters away from the building where the blast occurred on Wednesday.

Bomb blast suspected

According to police sources, the sound of the blast and the stench there are initially suspected of bomb blasts. Rangers and police teams are present on the spot. The injured have been sent to the hospital. Police have cordoned off the area. According to preliminary information, the blast occurred on the second floor.

Scattered debris up to 500 meters away
The video surfaced after the blast clearly shows that the house where the blast occurred and some iron pieces were seen about 500 meters away. There has been a history of violence in Karachi. Last month, there was a clash between Shia and Sunni communities. Then-Prime Minister Imran Khan described it as a conspiracy by other countries.
