Beirut blasts: India Sends 58 Tons Of Emergency Help To Lebanon

New Delhi: After a strong explosion in Beirut, India has sent 58 tonnes of emergency assistance to Lebanon under humanity. The External Affairs Ministry informed that in view of the growing corona case, PPE kits, surgical gloves, surgical gowns have been sent as help.

“After the August 4 explosive blast in Beirut, we are sending help to Lebanon as per their requirement,” Srivastava said. The C-17 aircraft of the IAF will carry 58 tonnes of aid material to Lebanon and help the Government of India. “This airplane will land in Beirut after some time and the help will be handed over to our ambassador who will give the Lebanese Army officers who are engaged in relief work,” he said. ”

India has sent relief materials like medical supplies, wheat flour, sugar, dal, and blankets as help. After the blast in Lebanon, many people have become homeless, which can help. It may be noted that more than 170 people were killed and 6000 people were injured in the blast while about three lakh people were rendered homeless.
