Militants attacked a Pakistani security post in the restive south-western province of Balochistan and then targeted the vehicle of security personnel carrying an IED. Four soldiers of the paramilitary force were killed and eight others were injured in the attacks.
According to the Pakistan Army, in the first incident, terrorists targeted the soldiers of the Frontier Corps in Quetta. They also targeted the post near Pir Ismail Ziyarat. During this encounter, four terrorists were killed and eight were injured, while four soldiers were killed and six were injured. At the same time, in another incident in Turbat, terrorists targeted a vehicle of the Frontier Corps, which was carrying an IED. Two soldiers were injured in this incident.
The Pakistan Army said that such cowardly acts by the enemy forces with the support of anti-national forces will not be allowed to destroy the hard-earned peace and prosperity in Balochistan.
It is worth noting that earlier also there was a blast in the parking lot of a hotel in Balochistan’s capital Quetta. Four people were killed in this blast. While 13 people were injured. Extremists affiliated with the Baloch nationalist organization have been regularly attacking security forces in the province.
