Read Time:2 Minute, 44 Second

The Taliban continues to advance rapidly in Afghanistan. That is why the scope of the Afghan army and the government of Afghanistan seems to be very limited. However, the US and the Afghan Air Force are jointly attacking Taliban terrorists. Several Taliban terrorists have also been killed in these attacks and a huge amount of ammunition has also been destroyed. Despite this, the scope of the Taliban is increasing rapidly. Meanwhile, a US defense official quoted intelligence agencies as saying that the Taliban can seize the country’s capital Kabul and separate it from other areas within three months. This official has disclosed this during a conversation with Reuters. The agency, however, did not reveal the identity of the officer.

This official says that this assessment has been made based on the intensity of the latest Taliban attacks and their rapid progress. However, he has also acknowledged that this assessment is not final. If the Afghan army accelerates the attack on the Taliban, then this game can also be reversed. According to the official, the Taliban has captured about 65 percent of the country’s area. At the same time, an EU official says that the Taliban have either captured the capitals of 11 provinces of Afghanistan or are under threat. Let us tell you that along with the Afghan army, the fighters of some former Mujahideen leader’s faction are also taking on the Taliban. Apart from this, the Taliban are also being challenged in some places through the local army.

So far, the Taliban has completely occupied the capitals of about eight states of the country. After the ongoing war on Wednesday, the Taliban have also taken control of Faizabad, the capital of Badakshan province. A fierce battle is going on in Kandahar between the Taliban and the Afghan army. A large number of injured soldiers and local people are reaching the hospitals. Reuters quoted sources as saying that Kabul has been completely fortified. All roads leading to this site have been closed. Sources have expressed fear that the Taliban may attack the embassies and other government offices located here. The Taliban wants to drive out the people present here by intimidating or killing them.

The United Nations has also expressed its deep concern over the bloody war going on in Afghanistan. The UN has told that in the last one month alone, more than a thousand local people have died here. Apart from this, the Red Cross has told that in the current month itself, 4,042 people have been injured in this fight. According to Brown University figures, at least 47,245 civilians have died in Afghanistan over the course of two decades. Apart from this, 66,000-69,000 Afghan soldiers have also been killed in this battle so far. About 2,442 soldiers and 3,800 private security personnel of the US Army, who lived here for two decades, have lost their lives. Here 1 of the 40 member states of NATO 144 personnel has also been killed in various attacks. However, the Taliban has been categorically denying the attacks on the local people. On Wednesday also Taliban spokesman Suhail Shaheen said that they have never targeted the local people. Let us tell you that America has spent a trillion dollars here for two decades.
