India has become the 60th country to approve Russia’s Sputnik-V for emergency use as the third corona vaccine. The vaccine has been approved in countries with a total population of 3 billion or 40 percent against the Coronavirus. This was disclosed by the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF) on Monday.
India approves positive results of clinical trial
Announcing on behalf of RDIF (RDIF), it has been said that the Drug Controller General of India (DCGI) has approved the use of the Russian Sputnik V vaccine against coronavirus in the country. India has become the 60th country to approve Sputnik V. It has also been reported that the vaccine has been approved for emergency use in India following the positive results of its clinical trial in Russia.
The third vaccine in the war against corona in India
According to media reports, the Sputnik-V vaccine has proved to be 91.6 percent unofficial against the coronavirus. The function of this vaccine is to destroy the adenovirus already present in the body so that the infected person does not suffer from serious respiratory disease. The vaccine ‘Sputnik-V’, developed by Russia’s Gamleya Research Centre, has been trialled by Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories, a well-known company in Hyderabad in India. This is the third vaccine to help in the war against corona in India.
