He said, ‘81.77% cases have been cured in the country so far. There are about 34 lakh active cases in the country. So far, close to 2 lakh deaths have been recorded due to infection. In the last 24 hours, 3,417 deaths have been recorded in the country. At the same time, giving further information, Agarwal said that there are 12 states in the country where there are more than 1 lakh active cases. The number of active cases remains between 50,000 and 1 lakh in 7 states. There are 17 states where less than 50,000 active cases remain.
It was reported that some states are seeing an increase in COVID cases. These states should take necessary precautions. Andhra Pradesh, Assam, Bihar, Chandigarh, Haryana, Karnataka Kerala, Himachal Pradesh, Manipur, Meghalaya, these are the states.
Reduction seen in new cases
The Health Ministry said that there are some states including Delhi, Madhya Pradesh, where new cases are showing early signs of deficiency. He further said that we are also seeing a positive outlook in the recoveries. On 2 May, the recovery rate was 78% and on 3 May it climbed to around 82%. These are the initial benefits we have to work on regularly.
The Health Ministry said, ‘We are planning to use gaseous oxygen for medical purposes. Industrial units that make oxygen and which are suitable for medical purposes and are near cities, we plan to build temporary COVID care centers with oxygen beds around them. ‘
Adequate oxygen available
Additional Secretary of the Ministry of Home Affairs said, ‘There is enough oxygen available in the country. The production of oxygen in the country was 5,700 MT on August 1, 2020, which has now increased to around 9,000 MT. We are also importing oxygen from overseas. However, contrary to claims, concerns are being raised about the lack of oxygen from the capital of the country.
