Budaun Double Murder Case: The Uttar Pradesh police arrested the second accused, and the brother of slain killer Sajid, Javed on Thursday, sources told ABP News. The second accused in the case has been absconding since Tuesday evening, the day the incident occurred. The police have announced a reward of Rs 25,000 for absconding Javed.

In a video, posted by ANI sourced to Police, Javed is heard saying, “I ran straight to Delhi and from there I have to come to Bareilly to surrender. I have received phone calls from people about what my brother did.”

The last rites for Ayush and Ahaan were performed on Wednesday morning. Both brothers were brutally murdered by a barber named Sajid, who was well-known to the family. Sajid was later killed in a police encounter, and another accused, Javed, fled.

Sajid allegedly attacked three brothers — Ayush, 12, Ahaan alias Honey, 8, and Yuvraj, 10 — with a knife at their home on Tuesday. Ayush and Ahaan were killed, while Yuvraj was taken to the hospital with critical injuries. His condition is now reported to be stable.

Following the attack, enraged locals vandalised and set fire to the buildings, while some right-wing Hindu groups held a protest.

According to the FIR filed in response to a complaint lodged by the victims’ father, Vinod Kumar, the accused knew the family and went there around 7 pm to seek money for his pregnant wife’s hospital treatment.

Sajid informed the victims’ mother, Sangeeta, that he needed Rs 5,000 to pay for his child’s delivery at the hospital. He stated that he was concerned about the child’s birth because five other children in his family had died. “I also offered him tea,” she explained.

While the mother went to retrieve the money, Sajid went to the rooftop, summoned Ayush and Ahaan, and attacked the minors with a sharp knife. Javed had also arrived on the terrace.

When both of the accused came downstairs, Sangeeta noticed their blood-soaked clothes, and according to the FIR, one of them said, “I finished my work today”.

The police have not revealed the motive for the murder. They charged Sajid and Javed with murder under Section 302 of the Indian Penal Code.
