Ukraine to meet with U.S. delegation in Saudi Arabia on March 23: Ukraine’s broadcast channel

Ukrainian and U.S. delegations will meet on Tuesday (March 25, 2025) in Saudi Arabia for talks to follow Russia-U.S. negotiations on a narrow ceasefire proposal between Kyiv and Moscow, Ukraine’s Suspilne national broadcaster reported.

The broadcaster, citing an unnamed source in the Ukrainian delegation, said the Ukrainian team will remain in Saudi Arabia for another day to meet with U.S. representatives.

In his nightly address on Monday (March 24, 2025), Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said representatives from Ukraine and the U.S. will meet again, although he did not specify when.

Earlier, U.S. negotiators worked on a proposed partial ceasefire in the three-year-old war in Ukraine on Monday (March 24, 2025), meeting representatives from Russia one day after holding separate talks with a team from Kyiv.

In an exchange with reporters at the White House, U.S. President Donald Trump said territorial lines and the potential for US ownership of a key nuclear power plant in southern Ukraine have been part of the talks.

Meanwhile, both Russia and Ukraine continued to launch attacks across their borders.

The Russian Defence Ministry said on Monday (March 24, 2025) a Ukrainian drone attacked an oil pumping station in southern Russia that serves a pipeline carrying Kazakhstan’s Caspian Sea oil to the Russian port of Novorossiisk for export. It said the drone was downed before it could reach the pumping station.
