Trump reportedly shocked by Ukraine-Russia drone war

The war between Ukraine and Russia is a war of drones, and unmanned aerial vehicles are a powerful and modern form of weaponry.

This was stated by US President Donald Trump, according to his interview on the Pod Force One program.

In an interview with host Miranda Devine, the head of the White House referred to drones as a new development and a new type of weapon.

He pointed to the war between Ukraine and Russia as an example, describing it as a conflict dominated by drone warfare. He emphasized how modern and powerful unmanned aerial systems have become, expressing surprise at the level of their effectiveness, something he said was unimaginable just three years ago.

The president described drones as fast and intelligent tools of war. According to him, both Ukraine and Russia are not only actively using drones but also learning from current combat scenarios to elevate their application to unprecedented levels.

He also expressed the belief that drones are capable of replacing many other forms of weaponry, including aircraft.

Use of drones in Russia-Ukraine war

In over three years of full-scale war, Ukraine has significantly ramped up the production of various types of drones to strike back at Russian forces.

According to the latest data from the Ministry of Defense, the country is now capable of producing around 10 million drones of different types annually.
