India on Tuesday said it will raise the matter with the Belgian government after a staffer at its embassy in Delhi allegedly put up a poster of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu with the word “Wanted” in the Chanakyapuri area of the national capital.
The posters, spotted on at least two electricity poles in the high-security diplomatic enclave, featured a photograph of Netanyahu with the word “Wanted” in a style resembling a criminal notice. The incident took place last week.
The MEA said it is aware of the incident and will raise the issue with Belgium through official diplomatic channels. The foreign national who allegedly put up the posters is employed at the Belgian Embassy in Delhi.
