IRCTC/Indian Railways: If you want to go home during the festive season, this news is special. Yes… The Western Railway (WR) has said that in view of Dussehra, Deepawali and Chhath festivals (Dashara, Diwali, chhath special trains), 12 pairs of special trains will be run for passenger amenities, which will take 156 rounds.
Out of these 12 pairs of special trains, five pairs will run from Branda Terminus, two pairs each from Indore and Udhna, one pair each from Okha, Porbandar, and Gandhidham stations, WR said in a release. According to the release, all trains will be run as special trains and will have a special fare. These trains will be fully reserved and bookings for them will start between October 17 and 22.
Trains will run between October 20 and November 30: Tell you that 196 pairs of new trains will be run across the country including Jharkhand, Bihar, and West Bengal. These trains running before Durga Puja have been renamed as ‘Festival Special Train’. The complete list of these trains running between October 20 and November 30 has been released by the Railway Board last Tuesday. The railway official said that the proposals received from different railway zones have been approved by the Railway Board. These include nine trains running from Jharkhand. Trains running from Jharkhand include the much-awaited Ranchi-Jayanagar, Ranchi-Patna, Ranchi-Howrah, and Tata-Howrah Express. Railway Board has also approved the running of Hatia-Lokmanya Tilak Terminal, Hatia-Yeshwantpur, Anand Vihar Terminal to Ranchi, Tata-Yeshwantpur, and Tata-Patna Express.
Green signal to trains for different states: Trains have also been given green signal for different states from Bihar and West Bengal. Train from Sealdah to Jayanagar, New Jalpaiguri, and Jammu Tawi has been approved. The train from Howrah to Raxaul has also been sanctioned. People will be able to travel only by following the guidelines issued during coronavirus infection on these trains.
Several train services including ‘Vande Bharat Express’ canceled: New Delhi- Several train services including Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra ‘Vande Bharat Express’ have been canceled due to Kisan agitation. Services will resume as soon as the Kisan agitation closes.
