Pakistan’s ‘lonely elephant in the world’, who has been facing torture for years, is now breathing in the open air. This elephant named Kavan has reached Cambodia after traveling about 4 thousand kilometers by air. Kavan was brought from Sri Lanka to the Zoo of Pakistan. Sri Lanka gave the Kavan Elephant in 1985 to improve relations with Pakistan. A female elephant named Saheli was brought to Bangladesh from Bangladesh in 1990 after being alone for nearly 5 years. Both Kavan and Saheli remained together till 2012. Saheli was killed in 2012, leaving Caravan alone once again. During this time, cruelty with Kavan increased in Xu of Pakistan. He was always kept in chains. Preparations began in November to take Kawan to Cambodia. A party was also organized in Islamabad to bid farewell to Kavan. American singer Cher arrived in Pakistan to bid farewell to Kavan. Cher also traveled to Cambodia after Pakistan where she strongly welcomed Kavan.
