India lashed out at Pakistan for handing the entourage and management of the gurdwara to non-Sikhs in the Kartarpur Sahib case at the United Nations. India has said that this is a direct violation of the resolution of the General Assembly of the United Nations. Pakistan has directly attacked the religious sentiment, freedom, and security of the Sikhs.
India’s first secretary in the United Nations Ashish Sharma said that the Kartarpur Sahib Gurdwara was being managed by the Pakistan Sikh Gurdwara Prabandhak Committee. In the month of November itself, its management has been handed over to the Non-Sikh Evacuee Trust Property Board. It is a matter of religious freedom of minorities and Pakistan has disregarded the UN resolution.
India had strongly objected to this Pak act in November
It has already been mentioned in the UN resolution in the context of Kartarpur Sahib that through this corridor mutual religious and cultural dialogue and understanding will be enhanced. This will create an atmosphere of brotherhood. These efforts were also praised by the United Nations. Now Pakistan is trying to end these relations gradually. India had expressed strict objections to this Pakistani act in November itself.
