Before the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, another film made on PM Modi had come, whose release was banned by the Election Commission. The film was later released after the Lok Sabha elections were over. The film was titled PM Narendra Modi, with Vivek Oberoi in the lead role. The film has the story of Modi from childhood to becoming Prime Minister.
The film was directed by Omung Kumar. It was re-released in theaters after the lockdown enforced due to the Corona epidemic was over.
