According to the report, he died of natural causes. Zawahiri was last seen in a video released on the anniversary of the 9/11 attack in Issa. However, Arab News has not confirmed Zawahiri’s death.
Arab News has quoted an Al Qaeda translator as claiming that Zawahiri died in Ghazni last week. It states that Zawahiri died of asthma as he could not get treatment. The report also claimed the same by quoting a security officer from Pakistan. The officer has said that he believes that Zawahiri is no longer alive.
