India Joins US, Russia, China For Successful Test Of Hypersonic Technology Demonstration Vehicle

India has achieved significant success in the defence sector. The Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) today successfully tested the Hypersonic Technology Demonstrator Vehicle through the indigenously developed Scramjet Propulsion System. Congratulating DRDO, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh said that this is an important achievement towards realizing the vision of self-reliant India).

In a tweet, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh said, “DRDO has successfully tested the hypersonic technology demonstration vehicle using the indigenously developed scramjet propulsion system today. With this success, the progress of the next phase has now begun.

In another tweet, the defence minister said, “I would like to thank DRDO for this success. He pursued Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of self-reliant India. I spoke to the scientists associated with the project and congratulated them on this great achievement. India is proud of them. ‘

Let us say that the first test was conducted earlier in June 2019. It will be used to build hypersonic cruise missiles and satellite launching at a much lower cost. India has joined the clubs of select countries which have this technology. India is the fourth country to develop this technology after the US, Russia, and China.
