
Zhao Xintong became the first Chinese winner of the World Snooker Championship when he defeated three-time champion Mark Williams 18-12 in the 2025 final.
Zhao – who beat seven-time Crucible winner Ronnie O’Sullivan in the semi-finals – is just the third qualifier to triumph at the Sheffield venue, after Terry Griffiths in 1979 and Shaun Murphy in 2005.
