The third player’s corona has been reported to be infected before the Indian Premier League. On Sunday, Virat Kohli’s captained team’s young opener Devdutt Padakkal was reported to be corona positive. In the evening, there was an official statement from the team stating that yes, their corona test has been positive.
Royal Challengers Bengaluru’s left-hand batsman Devdutt Padikkal was found to be corona positive on March 22 and is in compulsory quarantine at his home in Bengaluru since then. If their RT-PCR test is negative, they will be fit to join the RCB’s bio-bubble. The RCB medical team is in touch with Devdutt to ensure their safety and better health. The RCB management said that Devdutt is feeling good and we cannot wait for the IPL to join his team.
Official Statement: Devdutt Padikkal tested positive for COVID-19 on 22nd March 2021. He has been in mandatory quarantine at his residence in Bengaluru since then. Devdutt will be fit to join the RCB bio-bubble once his RT-PCR tests are negative, as per IPL protocol.

Third player found corona positive
Earlier, Kolkata Knight Riders batsman Nitish Rana was reported to have come to corona positive. However, in the second Test, he was found to be negative and the team made an official confirmation. On Saturday itself, Delhi Capitals ‘ allrounder Axar Patel’s corona was found infected. After being found corona positive, they have been quarantined at the team hotel. Sunday Devdutt is the third player to be found corona positive.
