Najeeb had played an ODI and 12 T20 international matches for Afghanistan. He had stepped into international cricket from the T20 match played against Bangladesh in the year 2014. He played the only ODI match of his career in India’s Greater Noida against Ireland in 2017.
Let’s say Najeeb was crossing the road on October 2 after taking some luggage from a market in Afghanistan’s eastern Nangarhar. In that order, he was in the grip of a fast-paced car. After which he was admitted to the hospital in critical condition and his condition remained fragile. Najeeb had gone into a coma since the accident.
