Bengal Voting 2021 :- Violence In Several Places, 54.90% Polling Till 2 pm

In West Bengal, polling is underway for 30 seats in the first phase of assembly elections. Meanwhile, violence has been reported from several places. According to news agency ANI, 54.90 percent polling was recorded till 2 PM amidst sporadic violence in the first phase of Bengal voice elections. 57.40% votes were cast in Bankura, 59.23% in Jhargram, 52.60% in West Medinipur, 57.73% in East Medinipur, and 51.42% in Purulia. The ruling Trinamool Congress (TMC) has complained to the election commission over the disturbances in the polling percentage. The BJP delegation led by BJP’s national general secretary and Kailash Vijayvargiya in charge of Bengal is also going to meet the election commission. The BJP will complain about the disruption of violence and voting in the polls.

The polling began at 7:00 am and will continue till 6:30 pm. Elections are being followed by ensuring adherence to corona rules. In view of this, the voting time has been extended. Five districts of the state are voting for 30 assembly constituencies of Purulia, Bankura, Jhargram, East, and West Medinipur. Out of these, seven constituencies have been declared sensitive. A total of 191 candidates are in the fray. These include Trinamool and BJP’s 29-29, CPI (M) 18, BSP’s 11, CPI four, Six Congress, two forward blocks, one of RSP, 48 and 43 independents from other parties. Out of these, 11 are reserved seats. Four are reserved for SCS and seven scheduled tribes.

Suvendu Adhikari’s brother SoumenduAdhikari’s car attacked

In Kanthi, the BJP leader and the brother of the Suvendu officer, the Soumendu Adhikari, was attacked. The train has been ransacked and the driver is reported to be injured. The Suvendu officer has alleged that the attack took off with the help of TMC block President Ram Govind Das. He has informed that Soumendu has not been hurt. The driver has been beaten up. The police have been informed about it. Soumandu said that polling was going on at three polling booths under the leadership of TMC block President Ram Govind Das and his wife. Suvendu’s close leader accuses Mamata

The BJP candidate, Suvendu Adhikari, and BJP’s district vice-president Holocaust Paul, against Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee from Nandigram seat, has alleged that the chief minister called him and asked him to cooperate with the TMC. The Holocaust says he told Mamata Banerjee that he was humiliated in TMC and he could not deceive this new family and the BJP.

In the Mamata government, women and child welfare minister Shashi Panja have alleged that BJP workers are intimidating voters at booths. Are scared of poles and pointed arms. He has asked the Election Commission to take cognizance of it.

According to the Election Commission, 40.73 percent polling has been recorded till 1 PM in the first phase of Assembly elections in West Bengal.
