Ramaswamy Launches Campaign For Ohio Governor, Website States ‘God Is Real’ Mission

Vivek Ramaswamy launched his bid for the 2026 Ohio gubernatorial race during his address in Cincinnati on Monday. The 39-year-old entrepreneur listed his several missions on his campaign website
“I will lead Ohio to become the state of excellence in America,” Ramaswamy declared to the crowd. “Think that sounds unrealistic? It’s not. In fact, it wasn’t long ago that Ohio was that state. Today, young people on the internet make fun of something by saying ‘that’s so Ohio.’ But less than a century ago, people weren’t making fun of Ohio, they were aspiring to be Ohio.”
Unveiling a campaign focused on economic growth, conservative principles, and constitutional governance, Ramaswamy places a strong emphasis on faith and traditional values, declaring on his campaign website, “God is real.”
His vision for Ohio prioritizes making the state a hub for business, education, and technological innovation. I want Ohio to be the best place in the country to start a business… the best place for kids to receive a world-class education, he states. He also pledges to reduce bureaucratic barriers and advance industries such as AI, aerospace, and semiconductors, positioning Ohio as a magnet for entrepreneurs and families.
We’re a conservative state, and it’s time for us to finally be governed like one, Ramaswamy declares, aiming to establish Ohio as the State of Excellence.”
