Iran has accused the United States of supporting Israel’s biggest-ever military strike on Tehran and said its dialogue with Washington over its nuclear programme is now “meaningless”. “The other side (US) acted in a way that makes dialogue meaningless. You cannot claim to negotiate and at the same time divide work by allowing the Zionist regime (Israel) to target Iran’s territory,” the semi-official Tasnim news agency quoted foreign ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baghaei as saying. He said Israel “succeeded in influencing” the diplomatic process and the Israeli attack would not have happened without Washington’s permission.
Israel Defence Forces have rejected reports that Iran had downed tow of its Lockheed Martin F-35 Lightning II fighter jets as well as many micro aerial vehicles. In a statement, IDF Arabic-language spokesman Avichay Adraee called the allegations “completely baseless.”

Reports of civilian casualties, alongside military personnel, are deeply troubling,” said the Department of International Relations and Cooperation (DIRCO) in a statement issued Friday night.
