‘Extramarital Affair, Contract Killers’: Sonam Raghuvanshi Grilled On Meghalaya Honeymoon Murder

Sonam Raghuvanshi, prime accused in her husband Raja Raghuvanshi’s murder case, is presently in eight-day custody with the Meghalaya Police. As investigations into the case progress, CNN-News18 has accessed the line of questioning by the state police.

According to the details, Sonam, in police custody, was asked about her and her boyfriend Raj Kushwaha’s plan to eliminate Raja Raghuvanshi, while the newly-married couple were on their honeymoon in Meghalaya.

Sonam was also interrogated on her mother-in-law’s claims of not having booked return tickets from the state, and if she had known Raj Kushwaha before her marriage to Raja Raghuvanshi.

A day before, Raja Raghuvanshi’s brother had claimed Sonam had told her mother about her love affair with Raj Kushwaha. However, she was forced to marry in the same community, and hence, was fixed with Raja Raghuvanshi.

The deceased’s brother had also alleged Sonam had threatened of “consequences” if she was forced to marry against her will.
