The Indian Army on Tuesday dismissed online media reports that claimed that China’s People’s Liberation Army (PLA) had used microwave weapons in Ladakh. The Indian Army has completely rejected these claims.
The official Twitter handle of the Indian Army’s Additional Directorate General of Public Information (ADGPI) said, “Media reports on the use of microwave weapons in eastern Ladakh are baseless. The news is fake.”
Colonel Danveer Singh, a defense expert and Associate Editor of the Indian Defense Review, says China’s claim is completely baseless.
Singh says, “All such weapons work in a line-of-site, a straight line. They are not easy to use in hilly areas anyway. It is not a logical thing at all. It is completely Chinese propaganda. . “
