Hundreds of people marched to the barricades with the intention of stopping the counting of the Electoral College. After this, they also clashed with police officers.

A woman was shot inside the Capitol building. He was declared dead in the hospital. At the same time, police said that three more people died in the Capitol Ground.

Outside the capitol building

Police had barricaded the main gate of the house chamber. The officers deployed for its security laid down their arms as there was a huge crowd outside the gate.

Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s office also vandalized

Later in the afternoon, Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s office near the House Chamber was also vandalized. A man was seen sitting on his chair with his feet on the office table. The crowd was present at the Capitol Ground for several hours. The police later removed them.

At around eight o’clock in the night, the Congress meeting again started for the Electoral College Result. DC and Virginia’s National Guard were called in to prevent Trump supporters from entering the Capitol Building again.
