In Russia, President Vladimir Putin on Sunday oversaw the traditional parade held to commemorate the victory in the Second World War. On this occasion, the Russian Army also demonstrated its military strength. All this was done at a time when relations between Western countries and Russia are under stress.
Military Parade: 76th Anniversary of Russia’s Victory over Germany
The parade passed through Lal Chowk in Moscow. It was organized on the 76th anniversary of Russia’s victory over Germany. More than 12,000 soldiers took part in the parade and 190 subversive military weapons were displayed.
80 fighters demonstrated their skills
Around 80 fighter jets under the cloudy sky also demonstrated their skills. Putin, who has been in power or president of Russia since 1999, watched the parade from the dais at Lal Chowk, sitting with retired Russian military warriors of the Russian Army.
Putin said- National interest is top for us
In a message issued on the occasion, Putin said, “Unfortunately, Nazi-minded things are being prepared once again.” This is not only being done by radical and international terrorist groups, but some countries are also involved in it. Their aim is to establish neo-Nazism in Europe. Russia will follow international rules in every possible way, Putin said. But he would put his national interests and the safety of his people above all. Everyone should keep this in mind.
