The Indian Embassy in China has said that it is talking to Chinese authorities regarding thousands of Indian students and is making them aware of the students’ concerns. These students, studying in Chinese universities and other institutions, came to India during the Corona transition, but now they are not able to return to China due to the strict restrictions of the Chinese administration. This is causing a loss of education for these students.
A total of 4.40 lakh foreign students study in China. Out of these, 23 thousand are Indian students. Most Indian students are studying medicine in Chinese medical colleges by paying a heavy fee. A large number of students studying science are also there. They all came to India in 2020 during the Corona transition in China. But now the corona infection has weakened in China and the activities there are normal, then these students are not able to go to China again due to restrictions. Chinese officials are asking them to study online while staying in India. But away from experimental studies, these students are worried about their future. At the same time, the stipend received for studying abroad has also stopped.
The Indian embassy has said that they are in touch with the Chinese authorities for the whole matter. Making them aware of the concerns of Indian students, they are requesting to remove the deadlock. Indian students are trying to come to China soon and complete the rest of their studies.
