China Launches Missiles, US Warships Arrive In South China Sea

Read Time:1 Minute, 12 Second

China has left no stone unturned to show its aggression. Its relations with many countries around the South China Sea remain tense. These countries claim China’s claim as wrong and continue to challenge it. In this episode, when US ships entered the South China Sea, Chinese warships drilled ‘live-fire’.

Two ships arrived

According to the South China Sea Probing Initiative (SCSPI), the USS Makin Island and the USS Somerset entered the region. SCSPI is a Beijing-based think tank that tracks Western Army movements in the South China Sea. The group has prepared a graphic according to which one ship came from the south of Taiwan and the other from the Philippines.

Missiles fired

After this, China started a line-fire exercise. According to reports, there was no plan for this drill beforehand. Long-range weapons were used in it. Type 056A Enshi, Yongzhou, and Guangyuan small warships participated in the operation. According to the Chinese army’s js7tv, dummy enemy ships were flown in this operation and missile interception tests were carried out. A video was also shared with it in which Chinese ships were spewing fireballs.

Challenge to china

The United States and other Western countries have denied China’s claim in the South China Sea. To prove this, they send their ships here from time to time. China calls it an act of intimidation. China’s propaganda newspaper Global Times says that China should be prepared to face the US.
