Big Blow To Indian Professionals – NOW US Federal Agencies Won’t Get Jobs On H-1B Visa
Washington: US President Donald Trump continues to shock Indians who dream of a job in the US. Now, Trump has issued a new executive order on H-1B visas, under which U.S. federal agencies will not be able to hire H-1B visas. Trump has signed an executive order on Monday, saying U.S. federal agencies cannot hire foreign workers — especially those coming to the United States on H-1B visas — on contracts or subcontracts.
“Today I am signing an executive order to ensure that the federal government will run on an easy rule – American citizens at the top,” Trump said before the white house signed the order in his Oval Office. ‘
Trump has delivered his decision a month after the decision, which suspended several other foreign work visas, including the H-1B visa, on June 23 until December 2020. The order has come into effect from June 24. Trump’s decision has been linked to the November elections.
The H-1B visa is the most sought after among Indian IT professionals. H-1B visa is a non-immigrant visa under which companies can hire foreign professionals with the pharmaceutical or technical skills. Under this visa, American companies provide jobs to thousands of Indians every year.
