In Azerbaijan, at least seven people were killed and 33 others injured in an Armenian rocket attack at a residential building in the western city of Ganja. The country’s foreign ministry said on Sunday that the injured include children.
The attack in Azerbaijan’s second-largest city of Ganja
On Sunday morning, Azerbaijan’s defence ministry said that ganja was attacked by Armenia region. However, the Armenian Defence Ministry has refuted Baku’s claims. The ministry shared photos of the accident site and tweeted that Armenian forces carried out a missile attack on the residential area of Ganja, Azerbaijan’s second-largest city.
Seven people were killed in the attack while 33 people including children were injured. Earlier, the Office of the Prosecutor General of Azerbaijan had reported that about five people were killed and 28 others injured in Ganja. During Friday’s talks in Moscow, the foreign ministers of Armenia, Azerbaijan and Russia agreed to a ceasefire. However, over the weekend, Baku and Yerevan have accused each other of violating the cease-fire.
