Indian Cricketer Virat Kohli may have landed himself in trouble as a Chennai-based advocate has filed a petition against him, accusing him of promoting online gambling. According to multiple media reports, a petition has been filed in the Madras High Court seeking the arrest of Indian captain Virat Kohli and actress Tamannah Bhatia for promoting on-line gambling.

In the petition filed by a Chennai-based advocate, the petitioner has sought direction from the MHC to ban the online gambling apps stating that kids are getting enthusiastic about it. The petition moreover said that the online gambling companies are using stars like Virat Kohli and Tamannah to brainwash children and therefore, each ought to be arrested for it.

The petition also cited a young person who died by suicide after failing to repay the debts accumulated once gambling online. A bench headed by Justice Sundaresh and Surya Prakasam has posted the case for Tuesday.
