Railway Minister Piyush Goyal on Thursday launched an updated version of the e-ticketing website of the Indian Railway Cats and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC). The updated version has several new features to protect passengers from difficulties and reduce the time taken. By including the best features, Railways has given the New Year gift to the passengers. The Railway Minister said, “The railway dedicated to the service of the country is continuously engaged in promoting its services to make travel more accessible.” The next-generation e-ticketing system was launched in 2014.

The move was made through IRCTC to provide barrier-free e-ticketing services with a higher booking load and a better user interface. Advanced e-ticketing website and the app will provide next-level services to rail users. The main thrust of feature remodeling is the consumer experience.

The passenger will be given Artificial Intelligence as soon as he steps into the station. This will relieve the hassle of searching for the station etc. and will save time in ticket booking. The refund status can be easily checked on the user account page. Earlier this feature was not available from Asani. Train search and election have also been made easier. Apart from this, many other features have been simplified. Train passengers will no longer have trouble booking tickets online.

Now ten thousand train tickets can be booked simultaneously in one minute. Currently, 7500 tickets are booked in a minute. Union Railway Minister Piyush Goyal launched the new website of IRCTC on Thursday. According to railway officials, after the IRCTC website is upgraded, the ticket booking speed will increase and passengers will be able to book tickets faster than before. Along with this, other facilities including food and drink will be added from the IRCTC website.

The new website of IRCTC does not have a separate domain, instead, you can log in to the old domain ie www.irctc.co.in. Simply put, the IRCTC website has been upgraded with some new features. The new website is named Next Generation. Regarding the new website of IRCTC, it is claimed that during the booking of Tatkal tickets, the website will not hang on the spot. Apart from this, it is also claimed that 10,000 tickets can be booked in one minute. 60 million users are registered on the website. Now 5,00,000 people will be able to login simultaneously, earlier this number was 40,000. The new website will go live on 1 January 2021.

What is special about IRCTC’s new website?

First of all, let us tell you that the interface of the website has completely changed. Apart from this, changes have also been made in fonts, etc. Where Book Your Ticket was written on the home page of the old site, on the new site, BOOK TICKET will be written in capital letters. Just above BOOK TICKET, information about PNR status and chart will be found. Before logging on to the new website, you will get the option to select the category class, along with choosing the option of General or Tatkal.
