New Delhi: India is planning to bring back around 700 additional Sikhs who are have been tormented in Afghanistan. These Sikhs will be brought in a few batches. After the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) was passed, the first batch of 11 Sikhs arrived in India on July 26. The first batch of returnees got a warm greeting by the BJP pioneers at the air terminal.

The first batch of the Sikh families is living in a gurdwara in Delhi. The Delhi Sikh Gurudwara Prabandhak Committee is investigating the living plans for them.

BJP National Secretary Sardar RP Singh told IANS on Saturday, “After the first batch, around 700 additional Sikhs are eager to originate from Afghanistan. The Indian international safe haven in Afghanistan is in contact with them. We are working out on taking them back to India. Family members of a large portion of them live in Tilak Nagar, so there will be no issue in making living game plans for them.”

Singh said it was distinctly because of the strong choice of Prime Minister Narendra Modi that Sikh siblings experiencing torment in Afghanistan are been taken back to India. In the event that the CAA was not made, the casualties of strict abuse in the neighboring nations would lack citizenship in India.
