Polling for Delhi MCD Election 2022 will be held on 4th December and its results will be declared on 7th December. Delhi Election Commission.
New Delhi: MCD elections have been announced in Delhi. The notification for the election will come on November 7. Polling will be held on December 4, while the results of the elections will be declared on December 7. Delhi State Election Commissioner Vijay Dev said that 250 wards of Delhi are ready for elections. He told that there are 70 Vidhan Sabhas, 68 have 250 wards. According to the 2011 population, 42 seats are reserved for SC, 21 are reserved for SC women, 104 are reserved for women.
The Election Commissioner said that more than 55000 EVMs have been arranged. Like last time, this time also NOTA will be used. The photograph of the candidates will also be there on the ballot paper. Staff has been taken from many departments to conduct the elections, there will be more than one lakh staff. There will be 68 Returning Officers, 250 AROs. Along with this, there will also be videography of the polling stations.
21 seats reserved for SC women
Election Commissioner said that 21 seats are reserved for SC women. An app has been created for corporation elections. People can check their name on the app and also register complaints.
Delimitation was necessary
Delhi State Election Commissioner Vijay Dev said that the delimitation process was necessary in Delhi, it is a long process. We completed the delimitation process within the time limit. Polling stations were re-designed. There are 68 constituencies under the Municipal Corporation of Delhi, in which 250 wards have been earmarked.
