Parents of children of a private school in Ghaziabad, staged a protest alleging that Private schools deprived children of annual examinations.
In view of the difficulties being faced by parents due to corona infection, there is a persistent demand for a fee waiver but no hearing is being heard by the administration. The parents led by the officials of the Ghaziabad Parents Association performed a protest outside the DIOS office.
The parents gheraoed the DIOS office for about four hours in protest against the denial of annual examinations for non-submission of fees to the students. He said private schools are not even complying with the mandate.
All School Parents Association have started an Indefinite protest outside the DIOS office after The Dehradun Public School Ghaziabad has started neglecting the Amendments made by the Governor in fees act 2018 and charging annual fees from the parents and also depriving students of annual exams for nonpayment of fees during this pandemic.
A Meeting held between the school manager and parents on February 19th, 2021 at the DIOS office in which District School Inspector, Ravi Dutt Had ordered not to stop the examination of children, but the school too ignored this order and did not allow it the children to appear for the examination.
After which the parents asked for support from all school parents association and informed the district school inspector concerning all this. And if the school is not ordered not to stop the examination, then all the parents will sit on a sit-in strike indefinitely outside the DIOS office.
President All School Parents Association said: “We do not support the spontaneous imposition of fee by any institute – parents are still facing financial difficulties, the govt. has shown sufficient thought and currently is not the time for schools to introduce previous fees when the session is sort of over and examinations are in progress. This is undue harassment.”
