In Jammu and Kashmir, militants attacked security forces in Pampore in Pulwama district. 5 CRPF Jawans were injured in the attack. Out of these, 2 were martyred during treatment in the District hospital. The remaining 3 Jawans are undergoing treatment. The attack took place at around 12.50 pm on the Pampore bypass. The militants were firing at the joint party of 110 battalions of CRPF and Jawans of Jammu and Kashmir police. The militants are being searched by a blockade of the area.

There was an encounter between terrorists and security forces on September 27 in the Samboora area of Avantipora in Pulwama district. The security forces gunned down 2 terrorists. One policeman was injured in the firing of militants.

4 jawans were martyred in a terror attack in August
Terrorist attacks on the police party and army convoy have intensified over the past few months. On 16th August, 2 CRPF Jawans were martyred in a terror attack in the Kariri Pattan area of Baramulla. The security forces also gunned down 2 terrorists. Earlier, on August 14, 2 policemen were martyred in a terror attack in Naugam in Kashmir. On August 12, security forces were attacked in Sopore in Baramulla, in which one Jawan was injured.
