Delhi Police Bust Terror Module, Arrest 6 Including 2 Pakistan-Trained Terrorists In Multi-State Operation
New Delhi: The Delhi Police Tuesday said that they have busted a terror module and arrested six suspects, including two Pakistan-trained terrorists. The Pakistan-organised terror module was busted by the Delhi Police’s Special Cell.
Explosives and firearms have been recovered from the suspected terrorists by the police in what was described as a multi-state operation.
DCP Special Cell Pramod Kushwaha said a total of six suspects have been arrested, including the two Pakistan-trained terrorists. Police sources said raids have been conducted in Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, and Maharashtra and these are still on.
The Special Cell said the suspects were planning to carry out targeted killings and blasts across the country.

Times Now reported that the two suspected Pakistan-trained terrorists have been identified as Osama and Zeeshan. They planned to carry out blasts across the country and upcoming elections in Uttar Pradesh next year were also their target.
The Delhi Police later told a press conference that while one of the suspects was arrested from Kota in Rajasthan, two other were arrested from Delhi and the rest three from Uttar Pradesh.
Police said out of the six arrested, two were taken to Pakistan via Muscat where they were trained to use explosives and firearms, including AK-47. The due underwent training for 15 days.
The Uttar Pradesh Anti-Terror Squad assisted the Delhi Police in the operation.
The police said the terror module was funded by the Underworld and was ideologically motivated.
“The arrested have stated that there were 14-15 Bangla speaking persons in their group who might have been taken for similar training. It looks like this operation was closely coordinated from across the border,” said Neeraj Thakur, Special Commissioner of Police, Delhi Police Special Cell.
The police said the module was divided into two teams. “One was being coordinated by Dawood Ibrahim’s brother, Anees Ibrahim. It was tasked to get the arms into India from across the border and keeping them concealed here. The other team was to arrange funding via Hawala,” the Special Cell said.
