India will receive the first consignment of Russian Corona Vaccine Sputnik V on 1 May. The third phase of vaccination is going to start in the country from May 1, under which all people above 18 years of age will be given vaccine doses. The first batch of Sputnik-V is arriving in the country on 1 May. It was informed by Kirill Dmitriev, head of the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF).
No information has been given about how many doses of the vaccine will be given in this consignment.
“The first shipment will be delivered on May 1,” said Dmitryv. He also hoped that this would help India beat the epidemic. RDIF is marketing Sputnik V worldwide and in this order it has tied up with 5 big Indian manufacturers to produce more than 85 crore vaccine doses annually. It is also expected that production of this vaccine may start in India soon.
In addition, Russian pharmaceutical firm Firmacintz said on Monday that it is ready to send one million packs of Remadecivir antiviral drug to India by the end of May as soon as it is approved by the Russian government. It has been confirmed by the Government of Mexico that Sputnik V is the safest vaccine among all the vaccines used in the country.
Let us know that India is in the grip of the second wave of pandemic Kovid-19. There is a shortage of all medical devices including beds and oxygen in the hospitals here. In such a situation, assistance is being provided from many countries including Britain and America.
