According to a new study, people recovering from corona may suffer from neuropsychiatric disease and mental problems. This research has been published in the journal Frontiers in Psychology. The research team also includes a scientist of Indian origin. The study shows that 95 percent of people who were mentally well before the disease were affected by post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) after recovering from the infection.
42 percent of patients suffering from depression-related problems after recovering
Analyzing other studies also showed that 17–42 percent of the patients were suffering from depression-related problems after recovering from the infection. “It is important to understand the neuropsychiatric and mental problems caused by corona because while millions of people are vulnerable to it, it has still not been identified among millions,” said researcher Sanjay Kumar of Oxford Brookes University.
The number of such patients is about 44 percent
Sanjay Kumar said that not only the working style of the people has been affected by these circumstances but also the financial management of their homes has been destroyed. His decision-making process in family matters has been affected. Talking of long duration, people with neuropsychiatric problems show symptoms like disorder as well as fatigue. The number of such patients is about 44 percent. Memory problems are seen in 25 to 50 percent of patients.
