There is bad news for those awaiting the corona vaccine. Pharma company Johnson & Johnson has stayed the trial of its much-awaited corona vaccine. According to news agency Reuters, the company has been barred from immediate effect due to the ill-being of a participant. According to the company, the ban is temporary. And after the trial, the trial can be resumed.

Johnson & Johnson said Monday that a study participant has temporarily halted trials of its COVID-19 vaccine due to an unexplained illness. The participant’s illness is being reviewed and evaluated by an independent data and safety monitoring board as well as the company’s diagnostic and safety practitioners.

Quoting Stand News, the agency reported the pause citing a document sent to external researchers who conducted the 60,000-patient test. It said that the online system used to recruit patients in the study was discontinued and the data and safety monitoring board would be called.
