Hong Kong Bans Flights To And From India Till May 3 Due To Growing Transition

In view of the growing corona outbreak in India, Hong Kong has banned all flights to and from India till May 3. Sources in the Civil Aviation Ministry said Hong Kong has also suspended air traffic with Pakistan and the Philippines for the same period. The Hong Kong government’s decision came after 50 passengers arrived in Hong Kong on two Vistara Airlines flights to Find Corona positive in the investigation.

As per the rules issued by Hong Kong, the Covid-19 negative report will have to be shown by conducting an RT-PCR check for all passengers a maximum of 72 hours before going there. Earlier on Sunday, the Hong Kong government had announced the suspension of all Flights of Vistara Airlines operating between Mumbai and Hong Kong till May 2. The decision was taken after three persons who arrived on Vistara’s Mumbai-Hong Kong flight were found infected with coronavirus on Sunday.

India is the second most ranked country in the world after the US. The figure of infected people is increasing here. More than 2 lakh cases have been reported here in a day in the recent past, after which the Government of India has been worried. The Indian government has also become stricter in view of the rising corona momentum. Weekend breakdowns and night curfew have also been imposed in most states of India to prevent the transition.

According to data released by the Union Health Ministry, more than 2 lakh 73 thousand cases have been reported and 1619 people have died in the last 24 hours. This is the first time that so many people have died in a day. The total number of infected persons has since crossed 150 lakh 61 thousand. Out of these, more than 1.26 crore 53 thousand patients have been fully recovered. The recovery rate of patients has come down to 86 percent.
