Supreme Court Metro Station To Be Shut During G20 Summit, All Others To Remain open

Delhi G20 Summit 2023 Live Updates: The Delhi Police have asked the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) to shut a few entry and exit gates of metro stations during the G20 Summit. These stations include Khan Market, IIT, Hauz Khas, Palam, etc.
Only the Supreme Court Metro station will be shut during the G20 Summit this weekend, SS Yadav, Sepcial Commissioner of Police (Traffic) said. Other Delhi Metro stations will be open at all times.
After months of work that involved coordination between various civic agencies, Delhi is ready to roll out the red carpet for the G20 Summit this weekend. Currently, the Public Works Department (PWD) and other civic agencies are busy adding final touches to projects under them.
Talking about what’s next on the agenda, a PWD official said: “We have met our target date — August 31. We will conduct a dry run from September 1-7. All roads, tunnels, underpasses and footpaths will be washed and water in fountains will be changed.”
Meanwhile, the Delhi Police have asked the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) to shut a few entry and exit gates of metro stations during the G20 Summit. The police have said this will be done from September 8 to 10 at 39 metro stations across the national capital, and will lead to a delay of 5-10 minutes.
Gates of Khan Market, Lajpat Nagar, Kailash Colony, Jangpura, Ashram, Barakhamba Road, Supreme Court, R K Puram, Bhikaji Cama Place, Munirka, IIT, Hauz Khas, Malviya Nagar, Sadar Bazaar Cantt, Palam, Central Secretariat, Udyog Bhawan, Mandi House, ITO, Delhi gate etc will be closed from September 8 to 10.
