The health ministry in the Hamas-run Gaza Strip said Monday the death toll from Israeli bombardment of the Palestinian territory had surpassed 10,000, nearly one month after the start of the war. The toll of 10,022 deaths was announced in a press conference in Gaza by health ministry spokesman Ashraf al-Qidreh.

He said at least 292 Palestinians were killed overnight from Sunday into Monday in intense bombardments by the Israeli army which he accused of “perpetrating 19 massacres in the last hours”. According to the Hamas-run health ministry, the majority of those killed in Gaza since the start of the war have been civilians, including more than 4,000 children.

Fighting raged in the Gaza Strip on Monday for the 31st day since Hamas militants launched an unprecedented attack over the border from the territory into Israel on October 7.

More than 1,400 people, most of them civilians, have been killed in Israel since the attack, during which Hamas took more than 240 people hostage.

Several websites with photos that bear a resemblance to Dach indicate that she is a creative writer and information technology specialist based in Istanbul, Turkey, The New York Post said.

The New York Post quoted Liora Rez, executive director of StopAntisemitism, as saying that the group learned of Dach’s termination from a confidential source within the Cupertino, Calif.-based tech behemoth.

Stopantisemitism, funded by Israeli-American real estate investor Adam Milstein, also unearthed a LinkedIn note from a Palestinian tech worker, Mohammed Tami, who identified himself as a software engineer for Apple.

However, Apple clarified that Mohammed Tami was a contractor and had no business with the company anymore.

The New York Post reported that Tami, who lives in Ramallah on the Israeli-occupied West Bank, took to LinkedIn to condemn “the ethnic cleansing and genocide perpetrated by Israel.”

Since then, Israel has relentlessly bombarded Gaza and sent in ground troops, with the health ministry in the Hamas-run territory saying more than 9,700 people have been killed, also mainly civilians.

Among the Palestinians killed in Gaza are more than 4,800 Palestinian children, the Gaza Health Ministry said, without providing a breakdown of civilians and fighters.
