Hamas’ Deadly Mortar Attack On IDF; Israel ‘Divides Gaza Strip In Two’

Israeli Defence Forces are carrying out expansive airstrikes in Gaza. The ground troops have reportedly completed their encirclement of Gaza City. IDF said they have sliced the enclave in two as telecom services appeared to be cut again. Hamas has gone all-out in its response to the Israeli attacks in Gaza. The Palestinian group gave Israel a tough fight during the ground operation. Hamas fighters rained bullets at Israeli troops as they encircled Gaza City.
Massive escalation in fighting between Israel and Hezbollah after an Israeli strike according to Lebanese officials killed four civilians including three children. In response, Hezbollah launched rockets on Israel, killing one civilian, according to Israel’s military.
The escalation comes at a time when fighting is ongoing in Gaza between Israel and Hamas while coinciding with intermittent clashes on the Israel-Lebanon border. The Hezbollah militant group has threatened revenge in response to the killing of civilians. Watch the video for more.
Violence erupted outside an air base housing U.S. troops in Turkey’s Adana on Sunday after pro-Palestine protesters tried to storm the military facility. Police used teargas and water cannon to disperse the protesters. There was physical altercation between police and protesters during the violence.
The protesters were angry over U.S. backing of Israel amid ongoing war in Gaza that has killed more than 9500 Palestinians, including children. Watch the video for more.
Hamas’ al-Qassam Brigades spokesman Abu Obaida purportedly appeared in Gaza strip on Friday. Palestinian accounts on X have claimed that Obaida appeared in Gaza & met with the people. Hindustan times independently cannot verify the claim, date or location of the photo shared on X. Abu Obaida is the spokesman of Gaza-based hamas group’s military wing – al-Qassam Brigades.
Iranian defence minister Mohammad Reza Ashtiani threatened the United States amid Israel’s relentless bombings in the Gaza Strip. He said that the US would “be hit hard” if Washington did not implement a ceasefire in Gaza, as per the semi-official Tasnim news agency. Ashtiani said, “Our advice to the Americans is to immediately stop the war in Gaza and implement a ceasefire; otherwise, they will be hit hard.”
